We had a whale of a time at Depoe Bay this month as the Wesley Center took a group of students to a full day of whale watching! On June 22 Wesley Interns and University of Oregon students volunteered their time at the Domestic Violence Fatality Review and Community Based Risk Assessment: New Horizons event in Salem, Oregon. This one day training conference included presentations from national experts and brought together the community to improve systemic responses to domestic violence. The Wesley Community joined the new Bishop, Elaine Stanovsky, for breakfast at the Excelsior Inn and Ristorante Italiano. Bishop Elaine met our interns: Caitlin, Jordan, Amy Rose, Nikaya and Sohni, and spoke about the latest trends in the faith community.
